National Dance Day is July 31st!
NATIONAL DANCE DAY, a grassroots initiative that encourages the nation, young and old, to move! Individuals, families, organizations and communities from across the nation come together through their creative expression in dance. Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will host a National Dance Day Flash Mob on July 31, 2010 on the National Mall featuring Nigel Lythgoe, celebrity judge and producer of the popular national television show "So You Think You Can Dance." World Hoop Day is 10-10-10!
Hoop Dance DC will celebrate National Dance Day as part of their weekly Hoopnotica Workout Series. Bring your body and a friend to this FREE event at Gateway Park in Arlington, VA. The workshop is from 9am - 10am every Saturday. Hoops are provided for class on a first come, first served basis. Go to www.hoopdancedc.com for more details.
